NEW PRODUCER INFORMATION

If you are a brand new producer, have never used the FAIR Plan, or need a refresher course, we have prepared the following information to get started.

California FAIR Plan has no Agents

It is critical to understand that the California FAIR Plan has no agents.  When you submit business on behalf of a policyholder, you actually serve as their agent, not the California FAIR Plan’s.  No one can bind coverage or commit the FAIR Plan in any way, and all business is conducted on a broker basis. Persons placing business with the FAIR Plan on behalf of his/her clients are referred to as producers.

Producer Manual

Read the Producer Manual for information on commissions, payment plans and other pertinent information.

Getting Started

In order to submit business to the FAIR Plan, you must submit a copy of your valid California property-casualty license along with all pertinent agency data (mailing address, phone/fax/e-mail address, tax identification number) to our Agency License Desk before making your first submission. This can be done by fax (213) 487-6699, or via e-mail at cfpuw@cfpnet.com

Register Online

Once your license information has been placed in the FAIR Plan database, you can register on our producer system.  Your license information will be in the database the afternoon of the next business day following submission.  You determine your agency’s password.

What can be done via the online producer system?

All FAIR Plan producer informational updates will be sent to the email address on our producer system, so it is vital that your email address is kept current.

The online system supports the following transactions:

Dwelling new business

Dwelling changes

Commercial new business

You will receive an email confirmation of receipt for all online transactions.

What needs to be done outside of the producer system?

The following transactions must be faxed or emailed in for processing:
